Jan & Loch having breakfastOn Friday Shelia, Loch and I drove down to Wilson's Prom. Sheila got there first and found a very nice camping spot with plenty of room and not too far from the toilets. Of course Loch alias 'fishy' went for a swim as soon as we arrived and Sheila had already been. The first night was very pleasant and it was so good to be out of doors especially eating out of doors. So we cooked up a nice meal and enjoyed the ambience. The people next door were also very good. I think we counted 5 children from 14 to 3. We hardly heard a peep out of them late or early in the morning. Saturday we were woken by the cool change which hit about 6.00am. There was a good steady shower, then we were able to have breakfast in comfort.

Jan & Shelia taking a strollThen about 11.00am the skies opened again (Loch had the fly up by then so we had more protection) and this cleared by around 1.00pm in time for lunch. After lunch we took a stroll
over to Squeaky Beach with the sun shining beautifully. That night we had another lovely meal in the open and started on the muscat - very nice. Another swim was had.

Norman BaySunday morning we packed up our gear and Loch and Sheila decided to walk over to Norman Point and Little Oberon Bay.

They were gone a couple of hours and I enjoyed reading my book and doing the Age puzzles. Another swim was had. The water was warm but surf was absent as often is at Norman Bay. After lunch we headed off and Loch and I pulled in to the town of Loch for afternoon tea (as you would). Sheila who had left a little before us was already there just finishing her afternoon tea. So we said our final goodbyes and let Sheila go and we had a coffee. Arrived back in Melbourne around 6.30pm. Lovely relaxing weekend with good company. Where were you?

Crimson RosellaLoch happened to wake up at 3.00am and listen to his radio Sunday morning to hear about the Chile earthquake and resultant tsunami scheduled to hit eastern Australia at 8.00am - swim time. No sign so swam anyway.

From Jan and Loch.
